BOD plays Beethoven's 14th Sonata (3rd Movement Only)
I play the third movement of Beethoven's 14th Sonata ("Moonlight") at Holmes Chapel Young Musicians concert, March 11th. This video shows just the third movemeent, the most 'exciting' one, if you will. So if you're interested in seeing a video of this movement played live - as there are no videos of this on the internet as far as I know, heh - then yeah, watch this. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS!EDIT as of July 2006: FAQ, FMC (Frequently Made Comments)..."Too fast. No dynamics. Rubbish."I KNOW. I've said, I didn't intend to play it that fast, it was nerves, and watching it back, I didn't realise I played it so fast. I also don't like this performance any more and I've heavily analysed it since, and know how to play it better now."How long have you been playing?"Since I was about 5, ish, it's sorta not set in stone."What grade are you on?"Don't do grades."How long did this take you to learn?"I was on and off learning it, but about 6 months, 3 months intensive."I bet this was hard to learn!"Not really, it was considerably easy to learn. It's very simple in structure. Alberti Bass, arpeggios, recapitulation of themes in different keys. Simpler than most pieces I've learnt."Are you doing music as a degree/career?"No. It's just a hobby.
