It would appear that members of the community are using false DMCA's to have enough videos taken down from a channel that it will result in a suspension of that channel.I go through the process of trying to verify names and addresses in this video. Remember that if you file a counter-DMCA you MUST provide your full name and address, telephone number to YouTube who must, upon request, provide that information to the person filing the false claim. Even though their information is false, they now have your full contact information.For those of you that value you privacy, you can imagine how reluctant you might be to file a counter claim to have your personal information in the hands of people who are less then scrupulous in their actions.YouTube needs to review their DMCA process to ensure they have some minimum safeguards in place to verify DMCA information prior to acting upon that claim.I don't know IRISH282 or the HelpTruth channel owner. I have no clue who they are and I don't know the impact to those channel owners since they have text only videos on youtube and don't actually interact with the community.
